Office Hours 9AM to 6PM , 7 Days A Week

Introduction

Firstly, all NDIS participants must undertake an introductory stage, by completing our “Respite & Therapy Booking Form” this will indicate the type of respite you require. If you are coming here for respite with therapy, we will book a time with you for an interview over the phone with one of our therapist or we may request a hand over from any treating therapist. But, if you only require respite with activities we still may contact you depending on the choices made in the Booking Form. For all respites our nutritionist will contact you regarding your dietary requirements. All our therapist a fully qualified, and registered in Victoria. During this introduction stage our aim is to get to know the participant, understand their needs and requirements and their areas of interest, likes, dislikes and goals. Once the introduction is completed and your programme is approved by yourself and your plan manager, we will lock in a date for your respite.

Programme

We do pickup and drop off from agreed locations, according to the NDIS transport guide lines. While attending our respite, the secret to the successful outcome is being prepared. We get to know our respite clients from our phone contacts and have made sure that prior to commencing the programme they are well prepared, and are provided with all relevant information. To make sure everyone has an enjoyable time and are well supported, our programmes are run to strict staff one to one guest ratios, for all in-house residential programmes. We speak with our clients regularly to ensure they are having a positive outcome from their experience at Retreat South, and if they wish to make any adjustments to their programme. We ensure our programmes are accurately assessed, and are structured to meet all client expectations prior to commencement of the program.

Post Programme

Retreat South does offer zoom therapy for clients on completion of their respite with therapy if required. At Retreat South want to ensure all client settle back into their home on completion of respite with therapy. We ensure that all guests are provided the opportunity to give feedback. We are strong believers through your feedback, we can continue to improve our respite programmes for future clients. We want our clients to continue to feel part of the Retreat South experience, and that they can continue to use our services as often as they wish. We work with all NDIS participants and their Support Coordinators to ensure that all future services continue to contribute to the achievement of your NDIS Plan goals.
