We know that there are lots of NDIS participants who are looking to get involved in community-based activities that are fun, interesting and suitable for them. Retreat South matches individuals too programmes and to other participants who are interested in the same things; and utilises NDIS funding available for each participant. Retreat South offers one-on-one, group activity workshops, respite with therapies, as well as respite with activities and short-term accommodation.
Who does not what a change of scenery, new places, new friends and new activities, this can be just the tonic you’re looking for to recharge your batteries. Retreat South specialises in providing short breaks to NDIS participants aimed at supporting them to work towards meeting their NDIS goals.
Our respites are based near Port Fairy in South West Victoria, and all accommodation are large hotel style suites, each with their own ensuite and private courtyard and serviced daily by our service staff. Everyone deserves a treat now and again. Participants will be treated to delicious food made with organic produce when available, all meals are restaurant quality in their own private suite.
All residential respites are constructed around the client’s requirements and interests. The idea is that we match clients to experiences that align with their interests, we also match day workshop NDIS participants who enjoy the same things.
Our respites are about rest, relaxation and restoration. However, we are very mindful that in addition our clients experience must support their NDIS Plan goals. Our breaks focus on different things, including but not limited too.
- Wellness – Guided yoga and meditation to healthy meals our clients will leave with much healthier life style.
- Fitness – Long walks, bike rides, gym sessions, you name it we can do it. All tailored to meet guests’ requirements and support them to continue.
- Spaces are limited for our day activity workshops and residential respites, to ensure participants have a great time and are appropriately supported by our staff. There are no out of pocket expenses for participants on any of our day workshops or residential respites with activities, accommodation, food and refreshments provided. Participants may require funds or any personal purchases made on planned outings or for entry fees at some venues.
